Before You Drive
Requirements to drive
- A valid 1949 Geneva Convention International Driving Permit (IDP), plus your home-country licence and passport.
- Your IDP must be issued by a Geneva Convention country. If your country isn’t covered, we can’t accept an online booking — please contact the store.
- For standard vehicles, damage & collision compensation is optional (add-on plans available at booking).
- Our Roadster (sports car) includes a mandatory Safety Compensation of ¥2,200/day that cannot be waived; NOC is optional.

Driving in Japan & compensation
Every rental includes compulsory insurance. In Japan you drive on the left; speeds and road signs are in km/h. Our staff will walk you through everything at pickup. The official rental terms are in Japanese — an English summary is shown before you confirm.
